Preview: Billingsley Bears vs. Alabama Christian Academy Eagles
The Billingsley Bears will be playing at home against the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Billingsley will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Billingsley beat Loachapoka 48-44.
Billingsley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alana Jones, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 18 rebounds. Jones is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrica Motley, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Alabama Christian Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over Thomasville. The victory was just what Alabama Christian Academy needed coming off of a 82-22 defeat in their prior game.
Billingsley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Alabama Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
