Baseball Game Preview: Foley Lions vs. Robertsdale Golden Bears

For the second straight game, Foley will face off against Robertsdale. The Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Foley is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Robertsdale.

For Robertsdale's part, they got a great performance from Jackson Lyles as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.1 innings pitched. Lyles also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Golden Bears are 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-10 otherwise.

At the plate, Robertsdale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Quinley, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Foley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Robertsdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.
