Softball Game Preview: Trimble Tech Bulldogs vs. South Hills Scorpions

Trimble Tech is 1-9 against South Hills since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trimble Tech Bulldogs will face off against the South Hills Scorpions at 7:30 p.m. Trimble Tech will be strutting in after a victory while South Hills will be coming in after a defeat.

On Friday, Trimble Tech got the win against Polytechnic by a conclusive 22-7. That looming 22-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Meanwhile, South Hills lost 18-5 to Rio Vista on Friday.

Natalie Guijosa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Miley Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Trimble Tech and bumps their season record up to 7-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14 runs. As for South Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14-1 record this season.

Trimble Tech might still be hurting after the 12-1 loss they got from South Hills when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can Trimble Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
