 Beloit Memorial has been on the road for four straight, but  on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Elkhorn Elks at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. The last four games Beloit Memorial has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
 If Beloit Memorial beats Elkhorn with eight  runs on Friday, it's going to be the  squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two  matches with that exact score. Beloit Memorial sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-6  win over Elkhorn  on Tuesday.
  Rilynne Cleland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits.
 At the plate,  Allie Gustafson and  Brooklynne Hereford-foster did most of the damage at the plate:  Gustafson  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4, while  Hereford-foster  went 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and a  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jasmine Smith, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Beloit Memorial pushed their record up to 6-5 with that  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Elkhorn, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-6.
