Mater Dei had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Mt. Vernon Rams by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Mater Dei easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Adrienne Rakers and Marlie Haag, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Addison Nenninger and her 24 assists. Kylee Eversgerd controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mater Dei's victory bumped their record up to 30-6. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-21.

Looking ahead, Mater Dei will face off against Centralia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
