Baseball Game Preview: Southside Cardinals vs. Southwest Legacy Titans

The Southside Cardinals will venture away from home to square off against the Southwest Legacy Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Southside is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Winn just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks.

Eddie Villazana made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Huizar, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Southwest Legacy's offense. They fell 4-0 to Jay on Tuesday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southwest Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Southside, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Southside skirted past Southwest Legacy 3-1 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Southside since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
