Basketball Recap: Pine View Victorious

Pine View won the last time they faced Canyon View and Reese Gustin did her part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 49-38 on Thursday thanks in part to Gustin, who posted ten points in addition to eight boards and six assists. Gustin is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Torence Taylor, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 14 points and three steals. Tayla Blackner was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pine View's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Canyon View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
