Basketball Recap: Dover Picks Up 16th Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Dover had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the St. Georges Tech Hawks 71-57 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Senators as they're now sitting on 16 straight.

Despite the loss, St. Georges Tech still got an impressive performance from Joshua Obiora, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Obiora is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 53% in the last five games he's played. Jayden Reid was another key player, putting up five points in addition to six boards and four blocks.

Dover pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points over those games. As for St. Georges Tech, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-7.

Dover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-34 loss against Sanford on the 9th. St. Georges Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
