Softball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Danville lost against West Morgan back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Danville Hawks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Morgan Rebels.

Kirsten Robinson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Aubrey Reed was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Danville has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. West Morgan's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Danville will host Tharptown at 4:30 p.m. on March 27th. West Morgan will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cullman at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st.
