Softball Recap: South View Wins Going Away Against Jack Britt

South View won the last time they faced Jack Britt and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers blew past the Buccaneers 10-2. Considering the Tigers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

JORDYNN PARNELL made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on MADDY CLARK, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

South View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jack Britt only posted a batting average of .185.

South View's record is now 14-5. As for Jack Britt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

As of now, neither South View nor Jack Britt have any future games scheduled.
