Baseball Recap: Wellington Gets the Win

Wellington had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Dr. Joaquin Garcia Bulldogs. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Wellington saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Hobbs, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Cristian Goncalves was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Dr. Joaquin Garcia's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Wellington and Dr. Joaquin Garcia will both be playing Boca Raton the next time they take the field. Wellington will head out to face Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Dr. Joaquin Garcia will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
