Recap: Elkins Elks vs. Lincoln Wolves
The Elkins Elks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat Lincoln by the very same score they won with last week: 54-0. Fans of Elkins have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Elkins' win was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Huntsville and 0-10 Clarksville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 41.3% over those games). As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Elkins will look to defend their home field on Friday against Clinton at 7:00 p.m. As for Lincoln, they will face off against Heber Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
