Baseball Recap: Barren County Gets the Win

Barren County won the last time they faced Warren East and things went their way on Monday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 4-1.

Skylar Potter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has become a key player for Barren County: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Jax Vincent was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Barren County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-8 when he doesn't).

Barren County's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Warren East, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-12.

Barren County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
