Basketball Recap: Make It Nine in a Row for Lincoln

Lincoln won the last time they faced Thunder Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lincoln Leopards walked away with a 50-37 win over the Thunder Ridge Longhorns. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Longhorns are ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Thunder Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

When Lincoln and Thunder Ridge next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lincoln will square off against St. John's/Tipton Catholic and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Thunder Ridge's offense will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge will try to stop Lakeside's four-game winning streak when the meet at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
