Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. Heritage Academy Warrior

The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Heritage Academy Warrior at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Liberty Christian Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Heritage Classical Christian Academy. The Eagles simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Hawks 78-32. The win was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won four contests in a row dating back to last season.

Phoenix Obermann had a dynamite game, shooting 47% from the field on his way to 21 points and six steals. His big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Tommy Meyer, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 12 points in addition to five boards and four blocks.

Liberty Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Heritage Academy against Applewood Christian on Friday as the team secured a 74-33 victory.

Heritage Academy's win came from a few key players Liberty Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kylen Larson, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Backues, who put up 14 points and five rebounds.

Everything went Liberty Christian Academy's way against Heritage Academy when the teams last played back in February, as Liberty Christian Academy made off with a 71-51 win.
