Baseball Game Preview: Riverton Silverwolves vs. Mountain Ridge Sentinels

The Riverton Silverwolves will take on the Mountain Ridge Sentinels at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Lone Peak 11-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Silverwolves.

Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Layton 9-7.

The team relied heavily on Stockton Fowlks, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Mountain Ridge is undefeated when Fowlks posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise. Ethan Iacono was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Mountain Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Layton only posted a batting average of .200.

Mountain Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Riverton, their record now sits at 19-9.

Riverton came out on top in a nail-biter against Mountain Ridge in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Silverwolves repeat their success, or do the Sentinels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
