Volleyball Recap: Kenley Dehning Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Kimball

If Kimball wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Garden County, they should've done a better job of containing Kirstyn Beberniss. The Eagles came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday for which the team can thank Beberniss, who had eight digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

While Garden County might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Kimball scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18.

Garden County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenley Dehning led the charge by getting ten digs.

Garden County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Kimball, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Garden County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bridgeport on the 9th. As for Kimball, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Potter-Dix on the 11th.
