Basketball Game Preview: Holly Wildcats vs. Kit Carson Wildcats

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up.

Last Saturday, Holly lost to Cheyenne Wells on the road by a 57-43 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Kit Carson waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They took down the Bobcats 49-30. The Wildcats pushed the score to 41-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Kit Carson's win came from a few key players Holly will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brennan Framel, who went 7-for-13 en route to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josiah Irwin, who posted ten points along with six boards and three steals.

Kit Carson was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethune only four assists.

Kit Carson's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Holly, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
