Butte County and Raft River are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Butte County has given up an average of 46 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Butte County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Logos, who was ranked third at the time (Butte County was ranked 22nd). The Pirates were outmatched by the Knights and fell 54-6. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Raft River had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 56-32 margin over the Pilots. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Raft River's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Butte County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Butte County against Raft River when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 57-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
