It was a good run, but Derby unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 63-50 to the Seaman Vikings. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in January of 2023.

Derby's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kallie Rickords, who posted 12 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarai Graham, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 17 points.

Derby's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Seaman, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Derby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 80-26 victory against Junction City on the 3rd. Seaman has also already played their next game (against Basehor-Linwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
