After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wink, Fort Hancock was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Van Horn Eagles 42-21. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Fort Hancock got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Armando Munoz out in front who went 6 for 11 on his way to 12 points. Munoz is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Inaki Arriaga also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Despite the loss, Van Horn still got an impressive performance from Joey Anchondo, who posted eight points and five boards. That was a full 38.1% of Van Horn's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Fort Hancock's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Van Horn, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Fort Hancock has already played their next contest, a 60-41 defeat against McCamey on the 21st. As for Van Horn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-35 loss against Iraan on the 21st.
