Softball Recap: Rock Hill's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rock Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Plano Wildcats by a score of 9-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-9 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Aliyana Sanchez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Gabrielle Luna was another key player, going 2-for-5 with five RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rock Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.

Rock Hill's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for Plano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

Rock Hill has already played their next game, a 14-4 victory against McKinney on the 17th. Plano does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
