Basketball Recap: Westside Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Justin Fuller and Jalen Whitley + How To Watch

Westside and Northeast faced off in a cross-town battle on Wednesday. The Seminoles received a blow as they fell 61-45 to the Raiders. The Seminoles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Westside had strong showings from Jalen Whitley, who posted 14 points and three steals, and Justin Fuller, who had 11 points. Whitley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season.

This is the second loss in a row for Westside and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Northeast, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Westside is taking a road trip to square off against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they will be playing at home against Dodge County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
