Devin Long gave up the fewest earned runs he has over his last four contests on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, Long and Chaparral will challenge Notre Dame Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long.
