Baseball Recap: Hershey's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Hershey dropped their record down to 10-6 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 4-0 to the Red Land Patriots. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 11-3.

Hershey got a good showing from Colton Fultz, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Fultz is becoming a predictor of the Trojans' success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 7-2 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

As for Red Land, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly four runs.

On Red Land's side, not much got past Austin Michelsen, who gave up just six hits to keep Hershey off the board.

On the hitting side, Jordon McCahan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Hershey has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Carlisle on the 6th. As for Red Land, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Cedar Cliff on the 1st.
