Football Recap: Trent Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Trent has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a blow against the Bronte Longhorns on Friday, falling 62-12. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Gorillas couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Trent still got an impressive performance from Michael Wallis, who rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries. Wallis' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards.

Trent's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Bronte, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Coming up, Trent will host Blackwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gorillas will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46.78 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bronte, they will venture away from home to square off against Olfen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.71 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
