Baseball Recap: West Jordan Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Jordan can now relate to. They fell just short of the Salem Hills Skyhawks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

West Jordan got a good showing from Christian Flint, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Flint has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, West Jordan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brendan Wood, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

West Jordan's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-5. As for Salem Hills, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-15.

While West Jordan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
