Softball Recap: Patterson Takes a Loss

Patterson fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Manteca on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 10-8. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Elizabeth Zavala made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Jazmine Isom was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base.

Patterson's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Manteca, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Patterson is set to take on their familiar foe Mountain House at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Manteca will square off against rival East Union at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
