Roxana came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 63-46 victory over the Freeburg Midgets. This was payback for the Shells, who suffered a 49-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Roxana got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aiden Stemm out in front who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards. Stemm continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Sean Maberry was another key player, shooting 67% from the field on his way to 19 points.

Roxana's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Freeburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Roxana will venture away from home to square off against Breese Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Shells will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Freeburg, they will head out to face off against East Alton-Wood River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
