Basketball Recap: Aurora East Comes Up Short

Aurora East lost against West Chicago back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Aurora East Tomcats had to suffer through a 72-41 loss at the hands of the West Chicago Wildcats. The Tomcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Aurora East's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for West Chicago, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-7.

Aurora East will take on Wheeling at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Aurora East is facing Wheeling at the right time seeing as Wheeling is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for West Chicago, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Chicago Wildcats face off against the Oswego Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
