Basketball Recap: Vance County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Del'quaveon Bullock and Kayden Roberts

Vance County lost against J.F. Webb back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vance County Vipers lost to the J.F. Webb Warriors at home by a 69-55 margin.

Despite the defeat, Vance County had strong showings from Kayden Roberts, who on his way to 23 points and five rebounds, and Del'Quaveon Bullock, who en route to 13 points and six steals. The dominant performance gave Roberts a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Tyshawn Alston, who to rack up 12 points.

Leading J.F. Webb to victory were Daniel Wright and Joshua Barnette. Wright dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten assists, while Barnette on his way to 22 points and six boards. Wright's big performance that evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikelis Hobgood, who posted ten points.

Vance County's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for J.F. Webb, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: J.F. Webb beat Vance County by a score of 59-41 on Monday.
