Basketball Recap: Greenville Christian Takes a Loss

Greenville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Fannindel Falcons, falling 59-24. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

Fannindel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kalob Runnels out in front who posted 16 points. The match was Runnels' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Terren Judkins, who earned 12 points.

Greenville Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Fannindel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenville Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Longview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Fannindel, they will take on Dodd City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fannindel is facing Dodd City at the right time seeing as Dodd City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
