Volleyball Recap: Troy Trojans vs. Franklin Lions
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Troy can now relate to. They came up short against the Franklin Lions on Thursday, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Trojans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-13, 25-16.
Skylar Workman paced Troy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Workman got some help from
Aubree Brashear and her 20 assists.
Kaleigh Welch controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Troy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-17. As for Franklin, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-18.
Troy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Franklin, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Coldspring-Oakhurst on the 11th.
