Softball Recap: Newsome Wolves vs. Sumner Stingrays
Newsome never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 victory over the Sumner Stingrays. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly two runs.
The result came thanks to Allyson Conner's shutout, as she gave up just a hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sarai Nicholas was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
