Baseball Recap: Chicago Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Chicago Academy had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Alessandro Vera was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Julian Thompson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Steinmetz College Prep, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-19.

Chicago Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Steinmetz College Prep, they will be playing at home against ITW David Speer Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
