A feisty cat fight will be fought as Slaton Tigers duke it out with Littlefield Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Slaton took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They never let Roosevelt get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Tigers have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Isabella Guzman made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anelise Luera, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Slaton pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Littlefield, their record is now 14-5.
