John Carroll waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Mount St. Joseph Gaels. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Pierce Quinn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, John Carroll got a big performance out of Casey Carpenter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Drew Jourdan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

John Carroll's record now sits at 20-6-1. As for Mount St. Joseph, they dropped their record down to 14-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

John Carroll will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gaels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
