The Moss Point Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 64-38 margin over Columbia. That 64-38 margin sets a new team best for Moss Point this season.
Quey'sean Taylor was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Moss Point's points. Another player making a difference was Jujuan Nettles, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Moss Point back to even at 6-6. As for Columbia, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moss Point will take on Bryant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryant is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Columbia, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Marion at 7:30 p.m. East Marion is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
