Volleyball Recap: Vicksburg Bulldogs vs. Western Panthers        
        
		
             On Monday, the Vicksburg Bulldogs didn't have quite enough to beat the Western Panthers and fell  2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers  25-17 in the first  set.
 Vicksburg started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-21,  25-17.
  Jenna Schramer and  Hailey Havera certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss.  Schramer  had eight  digs and two  aces, while  Havera  hit 71.4% for five  killsfour  digs and 27  assists. The last time  Havera's  hitting percentage was this high was  back in September.
 Vicksburg has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 24-16 record  this season. As for Western, their win bumped their record up to 19-9-2.
 Vicksburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Edwardsburg  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Western, they will venture away from home to  take on Bronson  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Bronson is coming into the  matchup with five straight  victories at home,  so Western will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
