Football Recap: East Clinton Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

East Clinton had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 50-6 loss at the hands of the Huntington Huntsmen. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Huntington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Frankie Hirsch out in front who threw for 130 yards and four TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes. Another rusher making a difference was Isaac Taylor, who rushed for 89 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

East Clinton has already played their next contest, a 40-0 defeat against Cedarville on the 29th. As for Huntington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 40-35 loss against Eastern on the 29th.
