Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Hercules' Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Hercules's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Making Waves Academy Marlins with a sharp 15-2 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Hercules' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Saraya De Alba, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one triple and one RBI.

Hercules is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Making Waves Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hercules will face off against Campolindo at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Making Waves Academy, they will challenge The Bay School at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Breakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.75 runs per game on average), something the Marlins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
