Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Weleetka's Winning Streak

If Weleetka was riding high fresh off their 59-25 takedown of Arkoma last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Weleetka Outlaws took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riverfield Country Day Ravens on Tuesday. The Outlaws' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Riverfield Country Day's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Corbin, who posted 13 points and four steals. That's the most steals Corbin has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Findley, who earned 14 points.

Weleetka's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for Riverfield Country Day, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Weleetka will host Schulter at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Riverfield Country Day, they will be taking part in a tournament against Barnsdall at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Riverfield Country Day's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
