Volleyball Game Preview: Vallejo Redhawks vs. Pinole Valley Spartans

Vallejo hasn't had much luck against Pinole Valley recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vallejo Redhawks will challenge the Pinole Valley Spartans at 5:00 p.m.

Vallejo saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Albany.

Meanwhile, Pinole Valley beat Swett 3-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Pinole Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.

Pinole Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Vallejo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Vallejo suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Pinole Valley in their previous meeting back in February. Can Vallejo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
