Volleyball Game Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Jay Royals

The Tate Aggies will square off against the Jay Royals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Wednesday, Tate came up short against Gulf Breeze and fell 3-1.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Gulf Breeze scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Jay didn't have quite enough to beat T.R. Miller on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Jay actually scored more points across those five sets (114-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-23, 17-25, 17-25, 15-13.

Tate will have to contain Mylee Frazier as she made an impact in Jay's last game. She had 16 digs.

Tate's defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for Jay, their loss dropped their record down to 16-3.
