Basketball Game Preview: Lightridge Bolts vs. Independence

Lightridge is 1-6 against Independence since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Lightridge Bolts will host Independence at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Lightridge is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They lost to Stone Bridge on the road by a 74-60 margin.

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 62-47 bruising from Freedom.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Lightridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Lightridge came up short against Independence when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 47-40. Can Lightridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
