Basketball Recap: Dieterich Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dieterich can now relate to. They were dealt a 50-19 loss at the hands of the Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers on Thursday. The matchup marked the Movin Maroons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dayana Haslett was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-19 on her way to 24 points in addition to seven steals and six boards for Brownstown/St. Elmo. The contest was Haslett's ninth in a row with at least 16 points. Addie Sasse was another key player, putting up eight points along with ten rebounds and four steals.

Dieterich's defeat dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Brownstown/St. Elmo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-3.

As of now, neither Dieterich nor the Bombers have any future games scheduled.
