Baseball Recap: Colo-NESCO Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rockford on Wednesday, Colo-NESCO came back down to earth. The Royals fell just short of the Belmond-Klemme Broncos by a score of 5-3 on Friday. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 18-17 to the Broncos when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colo-NESCO's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Belmond-Klemme, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Looking ahead, Colo-NESCO will face off against Don Bosco at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Belmond-Klemme has already played their next contest (against Aplington-Parkersburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
