Soccer Recap: San Jose Comes Up Short

San Jose lost against James Lick back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Jose Bulldogs came up short against the James Lick Comets, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1003rd, while the Comets are ranked 284th).

San Jose's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for James Lick, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-3-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Jose has already played their next game (against Independence), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. James Lick will square off against Evergreen Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen Valley has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with nine straight defeats, while James Lick will come in with three straight wins.
