Baseball Recap: South Warren's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

South Warren waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 back in March.

Not much got past Mikey Coradini, who gave up just four hits to keep Franklin-Simpson off the board. Those hits were Coradini's first of the season.

On the hitting side, Griffin Rardin was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Brady Jones also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

South Warren was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

South Warren's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin-Simpson, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Warren will venture away from home to take on Warren East at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will head out to face off against Monroe County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
