Baseball Recap: Helias Comes Up Short

If Helias was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Warrensburg on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell just short of the Union Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Helias' loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Union, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-8.

Helias does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union, they will venture away from home to face off against Camdenton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lakers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
